Wally Palmar is an American musician, songwriter, and record producer best known as the lead vocalist/guitarist of the band The Romantics. He was born on August 16, 1954, in Detroit, Michigan. Palmar formed The Romantics in 1977 with guitarist Mike Skill, bassist Rich Cole, and drummer Jimmy Marinos. The band achieved commercial success in the early 1980s with hit songs like "What I Like About You," "Talking in Your Sleep," and "One in a Million." In addition to his work with The Romantics, Palmar has also collaborated with other musicians and produced records for various artists. He was inducted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Hall of Fame in 2013.
